Who is Aska?
Aska is a Stockholm based design studio that has just launched a set of unique perforated oval shelves perfect for books and objects. Our design studio and its shelves have received awards at Swedish interior fair “Formex” as well as the international trade fair “Ambiente” in Frankfurt, Germany. Our name “Aska” means ash in Swedish, which is also an ancient Nordic name and that of our daughter.
What colors are the Aska shelves in?
The current range of shelves are in light grey, beige, creme and black, all in a soft deep matt color, with a smooth finish. Other colors are available on special request for trade professionals. We aim to introduce other colors over time.
How do I mount the Aska shelf?
The Aska shelf must be attached to the wall with screws and plugs. You will find two small holes in each arch. The holes are 4mm in circumference. We recommend a 3 mm screw depending on the material of the wall. Recommended tools: spirit level, drill, 2 screws, 2 plugs, screwdriver. One tip is to use a magnetic spirit level, the shelf is magnetic.
How do you mount the loose plate in the shelf?
The purpose for this loose plate is to have a plate for your books and objects, when used vertically. You just slide it in, little bit angled upwards, with the wings upwards, and it will be fixed at the curve. Could be a bit tricky at the beginning but it looks good with few books.
To which countries do you ship?
We ship worldwide. If your country is not listed, contact us and we’ll sort you out.
How long is the shipping time?
It varies, but within Europe, it’s usually around 3-4 working days. For the rest of the world, estimate a week, plus minus a few days.
How much does shipping cost?
Depending on which country, the specific cost will be shown in the checkout. Here are some examples for one shelf:
Sweden = € 9-12
Europe = € 19-22
Norway & Switzerland = € 32
USA & Canada = € 55

We value reliable and fast deliveries. Our preferred carriers are DHL, Bring, UPS and FedEx. These carriers combined provide us with a worldwide coverage. For domestic deliveries in Sweden, we deliver to your nearest service point.
Where are your products manufactured?
We work with manufacturers in Europe within the EU. We have established a strong and professional relationship with all parties involved and have a complete insight into the production process, from the design, production, shipping and delivery.
How is it produced?
We produce using only high quality materials and welding techniques. Our shelves are made out of a single piece of forged metal sheet and perforated based on our design. We only produce small batches, which allows us personal control over the entire process. Lifelong quality that are made to last.
Returns and Exchanges
Items bought from Aska Design Studio are fully returnable within 14 days upon receipt. The items must be returned unused and in the same condition as they were upon receipt, in the same original packaging. Returns and exchanges happens at your own risk and expense, and is to be handled by you.
If you wish to return your order, please contact us by email with your order number and the reason for returning. Please contact us at info@askadesignstudio.sebefore sending back the item, and we will provide you with directions for return. Please note that expense for the return shipment is paid by you.
When we have received the item and approved the return we will transfer the purchase amount to your account within 14 days. Please remember to keep your post office receipt as a documentation that the goods have been sent.
